The National Collaborative on Childhood Obesity Research (NCCOR) brings together the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control, the National Institutes of Health, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to tackle the crisis of childhood obesity in the United States.  The Collaborative’s mission is to improve effectiveness of research dedicated to childhood obesity and to reverse the current trend of obesity that is plaguing our nation’s children.

The collaborative partners work to improve habits regarding both healthy eating and physical activity in order to alter children’s daily energy level and overall life style. They focus on efforts that have the potential to help children, teens and their families, and the communities in which they live.
