Management Telehealth Consultation
(COMM-TC)

COMM-TC (Childhood Overweight Medical Management Telehealth Consultation) focuses on primary healthcare provider education and pediatric specialty service support to aid local providers in caring for their overweight patients in the communities in which they live. COMM-TC uses telecommunications technology to connect pediatric healthcare specialists with community providers in rural and underserved areas.

Twice monthly didactic presentations of twenty minutes are offered August –May, guiding participants through best-practice guidelines for screening, assessment, and therapy for pediatric overweight /obesity and prevalent co-morbid conditions. The didactic sessions are followed by three case presentation time slots available for primary healthcare providers to present patients to COMM-TC participants and pediatric sub-specialists.
