Collaborating to Improve Children's Health

Envision New Mexico (ENM) is a healthcare quality improvement (QI) program of the Department of Pediatrics, University of NM Health Sciences Center. The program has been partnering with the NM Departments of Health (DOH) and Human Services (HSD), the New Mexico Pediatric Society, Indian Health Service, New Mexico Alliance on School-based Health Care, New Mexico Salud Managed Care Organizations and other healthcare organizations around the state for over four years.

Envision currently works with primary care providers in community practices and School-based Health Centers (SBHCs) throughout the state. Our QI Initiatives address a number of pediatric healthcare topics and promote provider practice improvement through:


Envision has aninterdisciplinary staff with expertise in health education, medicine, nursing, nutrition, psychology, public health, public administration, and social work. Through regional training, telehealth, site-visits, CME, and technical support Envision helps providers make sustainable changes in their practices and communities to improve the quality of health care for children and families in New Mexico.
